Graduate Student Poster Competition

The Center for Biomedical Engineering and Science will be hosting the 6th Annual Graduate Student Poster Competition on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 2:30pm-5:00pm at UNC Charlotte’s Center City Building.

Students must meet the following-critera in order to participate in the competition:

• Must be a UNC Charlotte Graduate Student
• Must be in a field of bio-related Engineering and/or Science
• Must email a 1-page abstract by TBD to: Nataly Tapper, CBES Business Manager, ntapper2@uncc.edu
• Selected candidates will be notified by TBD to present their poster on Friday, April 29

The posters will be judged on the following:

• Scientific/Technical Merit
• Relevance to Biomedicine
• Quality of Experimental Design
• Clarity to Layperson
• Presentation – Impact Factor!

Winners of the poster competition will be notified in mid May and the following cash prizes will be awarded:

• $500 – 1st Prize Winner
• $300 – 2nd Prize Winner
• $250 – Awarded to 3 individuals whose faculty advisors are CBES Associates
