CBES area of interest statement:
After nearly a decade in healthcare, I have a keen interest in improving the lives of patients through biomedical advancements. I also aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry and to increase long-term success rates of students in STEM career paths. As a PhD candidate in the Truman lab, I study molecular interactions of proteins under stress conditions. My current project investigates the relationship between MAP kinases and heat stress, including the modulation and mechanisms underlying MAP kinase phase separation.
CBES area of expertise:
Molecular biology, chaperone biology, MAP-kinase signaling, heat stress, proteomics, data visualization, STEM networking, and program development
