With a focus on innovation and translational research, the symposium serves as a catalyst for driving forward transformative solutions to pressing health challenges, reinforcing the University’s commitment to excellence in biomedical education and research.
UNC Charlotte, in collaboration with NCBiotech, is hosting “The Biomedical Sciences Symposium: Presenting New Breakthroughs and Exploring New Horizons and Collaborations in Biomedical Sciences” in Uptown Charlotte. This full day event will bring together University and Industry to highlight the innovation and translational research in Biomedical and Bioengineering Sciences in the region. The symposium will serve as a catalyst for driving forward transformative solutions to pressing health challenges, reinforcing UNC Charlotte’s commitment to excellence in biomedical education and research. Learn about breakthrough discoveries, enjoy interactive panel discussions, network, and create collaborations for seed funding.
Monday September 15 9AM to 5PM
Registration begins at 8 AM, with opening remarks at 8:45 Continental Breakfast and Lunch provided.
There will be a late afternoon reception and posters.
The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City 320 E. 9th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202
Open to invited guests and their colleagues at no charge.

We invite submissions from across disciplines to showcase innovative research, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and drive meaningful conversations. Submit your proposals by July 15 and be part of this exciting exchange of discovery and innovation.
Whether your work delves into theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, or practical applications, we encourage submissions that push the boundaries of knowledge and offer fresh perspectives. We particularly encourage proposals that address emerging trends, new clinical trials or biomedical or bioengineering breakthroughs, and regulatory challenges to the field.
Submissions are welcome on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
